How to Create a Patient Education Internet Shortcut on Your Desktop
In my blog post about steps to help patients identify trusted healthcare information on the internet, I talked about creating a desktop shortcut to commonly used patient education websites. Here are the instructions to create a shortcut.
Browse to a website that you want to bookmark, right click in the URL window and press copy
Right click on the Desktop area and press new shortcut: Then right click in and paste the URL, click next and name the Shortcut what you want (Medline Plus, for example). Now you have a shortcut that you can quickly launch during patient care:
