Lisa Honigfeld, PhD

Lisa Honigfeld is the Vice President for Health Initiatives at the Child Health and Development Institute of Connecticut (CHDI). She works to strengthen the quality and accessibility of pediatric primary care in CT and to develop and test innovations in the organization and delivery of child health services.
Prior to joining CHDI in 2005, Dr. Honigfeld was the Associate Director for Health Services Research at ProHealth Physicians. She has applied her strong background in health services research, health policy, and pediatric primary care to previous work in Hartford in the Department of Pediatrics at Saint Francis Hospital (1992 to 2000) and at the American Academy of Pediatrics, where she served as the Director of the Division of Pediatric Practice from 1982 to 1991.
Dr. Honigfeld serves on several state committees and task forces bringing expertise in the areas of pediatric Medical Home, the integration of child health and mental health, practice improvement and child health data. Dr. Honigfeld holds a faculty appointment in Pediatrics at UConn.
She received her Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Chicago and her undergraduate degree, also in Sociology, from UMass, Amherst.
