Luis F. Diez-Morales, MD
Medical Director, Center for Health Equity and Curtis D. Robinson Men’s Health Institute at Saint Francis
Dr. Luis F. Diez-Morales joined Saint Francis Hospital & Medical Center in 1984 and currently serves as Chief of the Section of General Internal Medicine and Medical Director for the Curtis Robinson Men’s Health Institute and The Center for Health Equity. He is an Associate Professor of Medicine for the University of Connecticut and is active in the teaching and training of Medical students and Residents, for which he was awarded the Thomas Preston Award for Excellence in Teaching. Dr. Diez-Morales is the present Chairman of the Continuing Medical Education Committee for Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center.
Dr. Diez-Morales has received the Directors' Award for his work at Saint Francis. His other awards include The Healthcare Foundation of New Jersey Award, the University of Connecticut’s Humanism in Medicine Award, and Hartford County Medical Association’s Community Services Award. He is a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society, University of Connecticut School of Medicine Chapter. At present Dr. Diez-Morales is President of the Malta House of Care, a mobile clinic that provides free care for the uninsured in Hartford.
Dr. Diez-Morales attended the University of Puerto Rico, School of Medicine. He completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at Wayne State University, followed by a Fellowship in Endocrinology at the University of Connecticut.
